It's Raining Cuteness

With such a rainy Spring this year, I was determined to find Whitney some cute but affordable rain gear...

and I think I found it.

She already had the hat, a gift from one of her Aunties. And after scouring the web for a raincoat, I found this steal of a deal. The shipping was more than the coat, which almost stopped me from getting it. But I decided it was too cute and cheap to pass up.

We picked up the rain boots from Zellers, which not only coordinate perfectly with Whitney's new coat but were under $10. Sweet!

We've been taking advantage of the warmer weather and our backyard almost on a daily basis, even letting the kitties experience the outside. But we'll most likely keep them inside, at least Dex, who managed to get out of his harness on more than one occasion, until or unless we set up a cat run for them.

Our yard and garden needs some major work and Matt and I have a lot of learning to do in that area. Although I'm not a very outdoorsy person, I have to admit it's so nice to have a backyard that we can go into anytime.

And it's especially great for Whitney.

Raining Cats & Dogs

The weekend started out sunny and warm...

but the clouds rolled in quickly this afternoon and it's now raining and thundering.

So I thought I'd share with you some of my very cute recent purchases, which happen to be cats and dogs.

Yes, I'm still a dog lover deep down.

an oh-so cute card from The Paper Place

a pair of bowls bought at The One of a Kind Show from one of my favourite vendors.

And last but certainly not least, these precious hand-sculpted dog figurines by such a talented artist.

I love these guys. Definitely check out Stacey's shop, when you get a chance, as she'll be making more of these to support a great cause.

Okay, it's dinner time, so I'm off.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, rain or shine!

April Showers, Indeed!

April's here and I'm wondering, will the rain ever stop? I need to get me some red wellies anyway.

Well, as predicted, I did not get a chance to blog last week. It was mostly work that kept me busy, but some play was involved too. Basically I worked (outside of the house) from Monday to Sunday, so by the time I got home, all I wanted to do was veg... I mean, relax.

I helped out this sweet friend again at the One of a Kind Show. Although it was quite a bit slower on the first few days - due in part to the "two R's", rain and recession - things picked up on the weekend and I think it was another successful show for Candice. Her tanks and dresses sold like hot cakes and I'm thrilled that I'll be getting my hands on one too in the near future. My fingers are crossed that she can find the same fabric again.

I am finally considering applying for the Christmas show myself. We'll see if I get in. I spotted someone wearing one of my clever kitty tees on my way out of the show the other night, so that was a little confidence booster.

There are a few new things in the shop:

Nine Lives Version 2 Magnet Set

Fancy Felines Button Set

And I updated most ofmy website finally. The individual product pages still need to be updated but everything else is pretty much current. Yay!

Later this week I'll share with you my new home decorating related obsession.
